What once began as a small business has developed over the years into a permanent fixture in the logistics industry – and yet one thing has always remained the same: our claim to be there for our customers with passion and responsibility.
With a fleet of 160 vehicles, clear processes and personal commitment, we get your freight safely to its destination – throughout Europe and on time.
Several generations now work hand in hand in our family business. Cross-generational know-how, combined with state-of-the-art technology, makes us a strong and sustainable logistics partner. Our forwarding company: A look back – one step ahead
What began in 1990 as a small two-man operation is now a successful family business with a wide range of services in the transport and logistics sector. 35 years full of commitment, courageous decisions, loyal customers and strong partnerships have shaped our development – and with the next generation joining us, we are looking to the future with fresh ideas and proven strategies. Take a look back with us at the most important milestones in our company history:
1990 - Foundation of Rennert GmbH
REWU Agrar GmbH becomes Rennert GmbH - founded by Heinrich and Paul Rennert. The focus is on the trade and transportation of spent grains from regional breweries to farms in the former GDR.
1990s - Growth through market opportunities
After the opening of the border, demand increases - Rennert GmbH develops into one of the largest distributors of spent grains in Bavaria, partly through cooperation with the Oettinger Brewery Group.
1995 - Entry into the transportation business
The company acquires its own trucks to secure the trade. The entry into bulk goods logistics begins with the transportation of building materials as return loads.
1997 - Expansion of the forwarding business
The company's own fleet of vehicles grows and the forwarding and bulk goods transport division develops independently of the agricultural trade.
2000 - First car wash at the Seßlach site
The first truck wash is built at the depot; maintenance is still carried out in an old warehouse building.
2005 - New workshop with car wash
The old hall is replaced by a modern workshop and wash hall complex - with almost 100 trucks in the fleet.
2008 - Own tank system
An in-house filling station with a capacity of 200,000 liters for diesel and biodiesel is built at the Seßlach site.
2013 - Expansion to Eisfeld
Acquisition of a large warehouse property in Eisfeld (southern Thuringia). First steps towards focusing on warehouse logistics.
2016 - Expansion in Eisfeld
Acquisition of another property, expansion of the warehouse location, investments in a workshop and a new filling station.
2025 - Warehouse logistics in focus
Further expansion in the warehousing business through the purchase of an adjacent property. Eisfeld develops into the main location for forwarding, trade and warehousing.
Outlook - To be continued...
A new chapter begins with the planned construction of a new office building in Eisfeld and the gradual handover to the next generation of the Rennert family. The Seßlach site recedes into the background, while Eisfeld continues to gain in importance as the company's central headquarters.
